On the morning of February 26, Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, and Mr Md. Habibur Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Electricity Development Commission Mr.Md Mahbubur Rahman, Executive President of Bangladesh State Grid Corporation Golam Kibria and government officials from the Ministry of Electricity, the Ministry of Energy and the City of Chittagong of Bangladesh visited the company's EPC project in Esalam, Bangladesh for investigation and guidance.

Esalam, Bangladesh 2 × The 660MW supercritical coal-fired power plant project is the largest thermal power unit and the largest coal-fired power plant in Bangladesh at present.This project is an important project for the construction of the "Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor" and also a major cooperation project between China and Bangladesh, which has received high attention from the leaders of both countries.After the project is completed and put into operation, it will greatly alleviate the local power demand and promote the local economic and social development.

Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and his delegation visited the key areas of the project, such as BTG area, central control room, and formal wharf, and listened to the project report, fully affirmed and highly praised the excellent achievements of the company in promoting the project construction with high quality and efficient performance, and highly recognized the solid performance of social responsibilities and highlighting the responsibility of Chinese enterprises in the construction of the project.

After the meeting, Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and his party received joint interviews with major local mainstream media in the Project Department. He pointed out that the Esalam project, as the largest private power plant in Bangladesh, will greatly alleviate the power shortage in Bangladesh after successful grid connection.

In response to the call of the state, Shandong Power Construction Third Company actively participated in the construction of the "the Belt and Road", actively practiced social responsibility while creating high-quality projects, built roads and bridges for the Aisalam project site, fought floods and disaster relief, donated education and winter supplies for poor students, and demonstrated the responsibility of Chinese enterprises with practical actions.
